When I worked at Kaplan, students left anonymous comments for me after I was done teaching their courses. These are their unchanged comments:
What feedback do you have for Fischel?

-He’s really great, always willing to help, and cares how each one of his students is doing. |
-Fischel was an amazing, engaging, and encouraging teacher. He is truly an asset to the Brooklyn Kaplan center. I hope that his excellence in teaching truly reflects in my October LSAT score :) |
-I think he is an excellent teacher. I couldn’t have asked for someone who knows the test better. |
-He's brilliant. Keep him around as long as he'd like to remain. |
-Fischel is a great teacher. I'm fortunate to have ended up in his class. my understanding of the LSAT has increased tremendously and my score has gone up with every diagnostic. |
-Fish is a great teacher, and is very helpful. |
-Fischel was a very informative and helpful instructor. I was extremely pleased with the course and his methods of teaching. He showed great concern and put in a lot of effort toward my achieving a higher score. |
-He's awesome. |
-I really don't know what else to say except that Fisch is awesome. |
-Thanks for a great course. |
-You have been a big help in motivating me to work harder at improving my LSAT score. Your teaching style is great and I appreciate your genuine concern for how well your students do on the test. Thanks. |
-Fisch probably knows more about the LSAT than the testmakers do themselves. He is thorough and patient, and seems like he genuinely cares about our progress. |
-He was awesome ! I learned so much in one lesson ! |
-Fischel Bensinger, as I'm sure everyone says, is the best LSAT teacher on earth. If you don't have him as your teacher, you are at a significant disadvantage. Seriously, the guy was born to do this. He is the Chuck Norris of LSAT prep. |
-Everyone who took the Kaplan course told me that the only benefit was that it motivated you to study. I feel sorry for them because they did not have Fisch. I have never met a more knowledgeable, motivational, energetic, and smarter teacher, especially when it comes to the LSAT. He is a great teacher, let alone LSAT instructor. |
-He is a great instructor. He cares a lot about all his students progress and makes himself available anytime by cell phone/email. |
-I can't say enough about Fisch. His knowledge, modes of engaging students and interest in our individual success can't be overstated. I sat in with four other Kaplan LSAT instructors since June and I feel that I definitely lucked out having him. |
-I really appreciated his enthusiasm and his candidness in regards to the test. He also seemed to really care about our progress and gave good advice for homework and always answered my emails. |
-Excellent at imparting quick reasoning. |
-Great Teacher. |
-He really knows his information. He makes it really easy to learn. |
-Fisch was awesome--so knowledgeable about the test, so perceptive about our abilities and so genuine and caring about our progress. It seems like his only passion in life is getting his students to do well on the LSAT, and his calling is definitely teaching. From day one, he showed us that he was committed to getting us to score high on the test and all that was left was for us to be just as committed. Give this man a huge raise!! |
-Fisch, I’m still astounded at how much effort you put into teaching the LSAT. You really go above and beyond the call of duty. It is incredible. However hyperbolic it may sound, I'd say you are the best teacher I've ever had. Thank you so much for everything you've done. I couldn't have done it without you. |
-Fisch was not only enaging in going over the subject matter, but also was caring enough to hold extra sessions on sundays, and follow up on all emails and phone calls. i would not have had as rewarding an experience had it not been for him. Whatever I get on the test, I know that he has prepared us to our full potential today. |
-I had this teacher for only one section. He knows the LSAT and is very very practical and realistic. From one session I learned a lot. |
-Great class, Fisch. Thank you for an enjoyable and successful class. |
-He made this a great class. Fisch truly cared about everyone's test scores and brought a lot of personal testing experience to the course. |
-He was a great instructor. I would recommend him to anyone taking a kaplan class. |
-Fisch was a phenomenal instructor. He really focused on what we needed to know for the test and did not waste our time with unnecessary methods. He seemed to really care about his student's progress and was very available to answer questions. I have recommended him to others interested in taking the LSAT. |
-He was great! |
-He is excellent teacher. Aside from the fact that he has essentially mastered the LSAT, both questions and mind set, he went above and beyond to make sure that every student did as best as possible, and understood the material to the fullest extent. Not only were his lessons very effective, but the Sunday workshops that he provided were invaluable! I started Kaplan with a 145 score. My practice tests leading up to Saturday were in the 90th percentile! |
-You're brilliant! |
-I am taking Fish if I take the course again. He moved fast but he was very knowledgeable about the test and what’s on it. |
-Fisch is a great motivator because he goes above and beyond what is expected so that you feel like you have to too. He tells it like it is but with a sense of humor. I enjoyed taking his class for sure. |
-Fantastic teacher, keep up the good work, exceeded expectations |
-Thanks for enriching my kaplan experience. I will forever have a positive association with the name fisch |
-I was sooooo lucky to have Fisch as my teacher. I can't imagine getting as much out of the course with any other teacher. Fisch should keep doing what he is doing, no suggestions for improvements! He’s the best! |
-Fisch was excellent, clear, concise and focused on score improvement. His extra workshops were extremely valuable. This class was a repeat for me, and I can honestly say the difference with Fisch is night and day. |
-Fisch is a very fast and efficient thinker. His aptitude for taking and teaching the LSAT are not even questionable. |
-Overall, I was very impressed with Fisch's truly comprehensive understanding of the LSAT test and study process, and also with his ability to communicate subject matter. |
-guy's fucking brilliant |
-He is AMAZINGLY smart and very witty. He deserves a raise! |
-I was very surprised (and appreciative) by the amount of extra work Fisch puts into his teaching. He is responsive, exceptionally knowledgeable, and wants his students to succeed. He knows when to apply pressure and he is honest. |
-He is the best!!!!!! He should be paid double for all the time he takes for each of his students. He gives workshops and private tutoring as if he was getting a million dollars to do so. Loved his class!!! |
-Fischel is a fantastic instructor. His energy and enthusiasm for teaching is incredible, as well as his knowledge and extensive experience. He generously spent extra time with students. I got much more out of this course than I expected, and it is really because he went the extra mile to ensure our success. |
-He was outstanding. He was personable and knowledgeable. Fischel was as available as possible by email and phone and seemed truly concerned with his students' academic well-being. He had no problem staying late after class, helping with specific test questions, methods, general test-taking queries, etc. He offered extra review sessions and personal meetings besides the regular class sessions which were greatly helpful and very generous. He was fun, informative and interesting and I would highly recommend him for others who are considering Kaplan courses. |
-He is knowledgeable, hard-working and caring. I feel very fortunate to have met him. |
-HE IS A GREAT TEACHER. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK FISCH! |
-The class was extremely helpful and I felt very ready on test day. |
-Great Class Fisch! It's a very hard test and I really hope to study a lot with your methods and bring my score up. Thanks! |
-All positive... couldn't have asked for a better teacher. |
-See previous response. |
-I was nervous about taking a LSAT class. I wondered why Fisch wasn't working at a law firm making millions. But after he explained why he disliked Law School and loved teaching the test, I was put at ease. I love the fact that Fisch gave his all to the class, whether it was the Sunday workshops, or the fact that he knew all our names the second week. Greatest professor I have ever had. |
-Fisch is one of the best teachers I've had in any subject; that guy was born to teach the LSAT. |
-Great insights on ways to cut seconds here and there, that add up to minutes. Liked working on questions in class under time constraints. Liked covering and emphasizing the most important elements of the test. Liked the mindset coaching and observing Fischel's mindset on a daily basis. Make sure someone carries on the torch/teaching style. |
-Very intelligent, engaging teacher! thank you fish for preparing us for this test...now it’s up to us to do the rest. |
-I know he speaks loudly and quickly to get our attention, but at nearly 10PM it is a little much. Otherwise he is great and I can't imagine having another teacher. |
-I am grateful that Fischel Bensinger was my instructor. He surpassed my expectations and it was genuinely clear how much he cared that we did well. I am confident that I have all the tools to attack the exam because of him. His teaching methods were stellar. He's simply the best! I don't regret spending the money on the course because of him. |
-He’s an amazing teacher and really has a passion for teaching. He knows EVERYTHING there is to know about the LSAT and is always looking to help and answer questions, even on his free time. |
-He seemed to actually care how we did on a personal level and not just because it was his job to do so. One of the best teachers I have had period. |
-He was excellent. He always kept the class engaged and he knew what he was talking about and explained it in a coherent manner. |
-He should really consider a career as a professor. He is built for teaching. |
-EXCELLENT TEACHER! |
-Dynamic - really made me feel engaged in the material. |
-Awesome dude. |
-Nice, down to earth guy. Very smart and knew the material well. Explained things in a manner that we could relate to. Nice guy. Recommend him. |
-None. Fisch was basically the best LSAT teacher imaginable. |
-Fischel was absolutely fantastic. I wish I applied myself more in his course. He was kind enough to roll me into another class & the second class I participated in could not even hold a candle to Fisch. The second teacher I had practically read to us from the book. I feel like the second teacher I had had memorized the lesson book and found nothing engaging about lessons. Actually -- I found going to class to be torturous. Its a giant shame that I did not put my full energy into the course that Fisch was teaching. I wish I could take another class with him again. He is caring and makes learning fun. I only have glowing things to say about Fisch. |
-He is amazing! |
